A business operating in the defense sector, is a mid-sized company — around 200 employees and €372 million in revenue, present in France and Italy — with strict requirements regarding security, data sovereignty and integration with its internal information system. As part of an 8-year collaboration with Saaswedo and a project led by the IT department, the client was looking for a solution to secure and manage its fleet of mobile devices.
• Deploy an On-Premise MDM platform to retain full control over its infrastructure
• Control network flows, certificate distribution and access to email and contact data
• Closely integrate Active Directory and internal security policies
• Secure the devices
• Manage Android devices in closed mode and ensure their compliance
The project was carried out to implement a secure architecture. It began with a preliminary audit of the fleet and the target architecture, followed by the selection of the Workspace ONE On-Premise MDM platform, the architecture design, and then the selection of network flows and certificates. IS integration covered the connection to Active Directory and the connection to messaging through a secure gateway. The deployment and testing phase involved implementing enrollment rules, security policies on the devices and compliance, deploying the business applications, as well as monitoring, unit tests, end-to-end acceptance and knowledge transfer to the IT team.
Our engagement unfolds in six steps: security scoping, architecture design, On-Premise installation, AD / IS integration, pilot and acceptance, then documentation drafting and knowledge transfer.
The client benefits from a solution compliant with defense security requirements and full control of its MDM infrastructure, network flows and certificates. The solution integrates completely into the internal IT ecosystem and industrializes device enrollment and management. It all draws on Saaswedo’s expertise in critical On-Premise MDM environments.
