Clone (formerly Not So Dark), an innovative player in the food-service sector, entrusted us with the management of its multi-site IT deployment. The company operates an innovative business model with a presence in 4 European countries (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Spain), covering 2,500 sites with a team of 201 to 500 staff. Saaswedo has supported Clone’s IT Procurement department since 2023 in the industrialization of its IT equipment ordering and deployment processes.

The build phase was structured around three pillars to meet the tight 4-month deadline. First, framework workshops with precise definition of Clone’s needs, a state-of-the-art review of multi-site IT deployment, and detailed specification of ordering and management processes. Then, solution deployment started with the integration of a POC (Proof of Concept), followed by tool setup, client and project-team training, master image acceptance testing, and spare-stock management. Finally, the definition of roles through a full RACI with strong involvement of internal teams and suppliers.
The run phase orchestrates a recurring five-step operational cycle: order processing and supplier negotiation, asset and stock management on a daily basis, equipment preparation and deployment for each European site, after-sales service and device replacements, then regular governance committees with Clone teams for strategic steering and operational adjustments aligned with the evolution of the multi-country asset base.
Our process orchestrates a complete eight-step interconnected cycle to manage the full IT equipment lifecycle. It starts with supplier negotiation, followed by purchasing, device configuration, then MDM enrollment for security. Next comes day-to-day management of the asset base, real-time inventory tracking, and finally recycling or repair at end of life. This virtuous cycle ensures an industrialized and sustainable management of IT equipment, perfectly suited to a fast-growing multi-site business model.
